Your daily life
Person responsible for preparing outdoor skating rinks at the start of the season (initial preparation and thickening of the ice for opening, approximately a one-week blitz). Afterwards, the candidate ensures high-quality ice throughout the season and performs maintenance all winter long. The locations will be Morin-Heights, Sainte-Adèle, and Piedmont.
What we’re Looking for
- Available person (weather-dependent, so when it’s time, it’s time);
- Reliable person;
- Someone who easily adapts to schedule changes (day, evening, night);
- Experience operating a tractor / snow blower / Zamboni;
- Person residing in the Laurentians;
- Must have a driver’s license;
- Responsible, autonomous, and resourceful;
- Available to work from early/mid-December until mid-March.
What we expect from you
- Preparation phase, initial blitz to thicken the ice for the rink’s opening;
- Maintenance of rinks throughout the season (daily upkeep and watering);
- Quick snow removal once a storm is over;
- Performs routine checks on equipment;
- Carries out any other tasks closely related to their work;
- (Adjusts rink edges using an edger);
- Snow removal around the garage;
- Shoveling access doors;
- Shoveling the garage roof;
- Any other work requested by their supervisor.
