Ice Rink Maintenance

Your daily life

Person responsible for preparing outdoor skating rinks at the start of the season (initial preparation and thickening of the ice for opening, approximately a one-week blitz). Afterwards, the candidate ensures high-quality ice throughout the season and performs maintenance all winter long. The locations will be Morin-Heights, Sainte-Adèle, and Piedmont.

What we’re Looking for

• Available person (weather-dependent, so when it’s time, it’s time);
• Reliable person;
• Someone who easily adapts to schedule changes (day, evening, night);
• Experience operating a tractor / snow blower / Zamboni;
• Person residing in the Laurentians;
• Must have a driver’s license;
• Responsible, autonomous, and resourceful;
• Available to work from early/mid-December until mid-March.

What we expect from you

• Preparation phase, initial blitz to thicken the ice for the rink’s opening;
• Maintenance of rinks throughout the season (daily upkeep and watering);
• Quick snow removal once a storm is over;
• Performs routine checks on equipment;
• Carries out any other tasks closely related to their work;
• (Adjusts rink edges using an edger);
• Snow removal around the garage;
• Shoveling access doors;
• Shoveling the garage roof;
• Any other work requested by their supervisor.
